Designs Have Changed and So Should Your Power Supply

Title: Designs Have Changed and So Should Your Power Supply

Date: Wednesday, January 23, 2019

Time: 11:00 AM Central European Time

Duration: 1 hour

If you are using an older bench power supply, it is probably time to upgrade. Many of the devices you are designing today use lower power. These lower power devices are more susceptible to noise and possible damage from your power supply. Modern power supplies are designed to protect these devices from over-power conditions. Improved measurement functionality means you spend less time reaching for your DMM to verify the power supplies output.

Attending this webinar, you will learn to:

  • Speed up product characterization by using a bench power supply with a built-in data logger.
  • Power multiple voltage buses in your device.
  • Additional tips on safely powering your device.

Power Product Marketing Engineer
Keysight Technologies

Bill Griffith has been focused on power and energy measurements since he graduated from CSU in 1988 with a BSEE. He started with Keysight Technologies (previously Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies) supporting the introduction of the 3458A 8½ Digit Multimeter. The launch was well timed, as the standard for the Volt was being updated based on the commercial availability of a primary standard, the Josephson Junction. Today, as our needs for energy shift – Bill works as a product marketing engineer to support our customers using a broad array of power products.
